Network Norwich - Charcoal Line

A press release appeared on First's website today advertising the new Charcoal Line service 40 to Poringland, a service launched by First to compete with Anglian's long established 87 and 88 services.

The release reads "Welcome to the Charcoal Line - your direct link from Poringland and Framingham Earl straight to the heart of Norwich City Centre. Running up to every 30 minutes during the day from Monday to Saturday, the Charcoal Line offers a regular and quick way into the city...great whether you’re going to school or work, heading out for lunch or enjoying a bit of retail therapy."

The service will be operated by a batch of three Dennis Enviro200's which are to be cascaded from Ipswich next month.

Service 40 begins on Monday April 4th, and will run Mondays to Saturdays, but not Sundays.
